“Chronicles of the Confined and Connected” – Video

France

“Chronicles of the confined and connected» is a musical mockumentary created end-to-end by Laurence during the lock-down period.

Her repetitive « life in a day» in her own flat in Paris belongs indeed to each person « confined and connected » anywhere in the World. The original score by Philippe Otema accentuates her humorous style, and her everyday gestures finally turn into a melancholic dance.

Laurence Vasselin (born 1974) is a French filmmaker. After 10 years in contemporary dance, she chose to concentrate on filmmaking for several organisations and tv channels. She sees her films as a continuation of her work as a dancer. Movement, rhythm, composition and emotion are the raw material of her creations.
